What activities are available to do at Billy'o?

We have lots of things to do during your stay at Billy'o Bush Retreat. Please visit our Activities page for ideas. If there is something in particular you want to experience whilst at Billy'o Bush Retreat let us know when you arrive. During your stay we recommend taking a look at our noticeboard in the common area to find out what's on during the stay and a list of activities to do at Billy'o.

Do you have accessible facilities?

Please note that our property has limited accessibility features. Please contact us via billyobushretreat@gmail.com to see if we can accommodate your requirements.

Can I have a campfire?

Fire bans are set in our region from 1 October through to 31 March each year. Fires are strictly only permitted in the fire pits provided from April 1  through to 30 September. We have firepits available for you to use or you are welcome to bring your own.

What about children?

Please note our Child prices are applicable for children 13 years and under. All teenagers over 13 years are considered to be Adults. Supervision of children around our property is required and is the full responsibility of parents/guardians. As we have un-fenced dams, a pool and sometimes open fires on our property children should not be left unsupervised at anytime.  Billy'o Bush Retreat accepts NO responsibility for the safety of your children. Please note that any damage caused to our property by children is the financial responsibility of their parent/guardian.

 

What time do I have to check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is strictly between 3pm - 7pm on the day of arrival and the property is to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. An additional fee will be charged if you do not check out by 11am. Early arrivals and late check outs are at the discretion of Management and must be requested at the time of booking and can only be confirmed 1 day prior to arrival or departure. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals and late departures, the only way to absolutely ensure an early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra night. 

 

What is expected of your guests in terms of cleaning/recycling?

Campsites, Cabins and Caravans must be left in the condition they were in upon guest arrival.  Excess cleaning fees up to $200 may apply. (eg. rubbish not being removed, dishes not washed and put away, barbeques not cleaned.) We ask that rubbish and recycling from your accommodation site be brought up to the rubbish/recycling station in the common area.  Please dispose of items in the appropriately labeled tubs, we strongly encourage recycling at our property.

 

What if you see or cause damage on our property?

Please report any existing damages to our cabins/caravan/common areas upon your arrival and immediately report any damage which occurs during your stay. Damage to our property is the financial responsibility of the guest.

Do you have day use options?

Billy'o Bush Retreat can be hired for day use for campers and events. Please contact us via email at billyobushretreat@gmail.com in the event you require day use of our property.

Can I have a party when staying overnight at Billy'o Bush Retreat?

With management permission we do accept some small parties or group gatherings dependant on numbers. Please consult us at the time of booking as large noisy gatherings may disturb some other campers.

Can I bring a generator to my campsite?

Generators are not permitted on our property.

Is there anything I should be aware of in respect of guest safety?

Please note there are un-fenced dams, a pool and sometimes open fires on our property. No matter how strong a swimmer you are, strictly no swimming in dams. 

 

As previously mentioned, children are to be supervised in all areas of our property and their parent or guardian is solely responsible for their safety. Children MUST be supervised at all times when using the swimming pool.

Please be aware particularly in the summer months that due to our location and dry hot climate it is possible to sight snakes on our property. Please be aware and take care. We also recommend bringing repellent for mosquitoes, however repellent is available on site if you have forgotten to bring your own.

If I forget something what can I buy on site without notice?

For your convenience the following items can be purchased on-site.

UHT Milk

Bread (frozen)

Tea/Coffee

Toothpaste

Soap

Limited selection of BBQ Meat

Is there anything I can pre-book for my stay?

We are able to organise the following items for you, however we ask that you request these at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Breakfast packs

Specific alcohol requests

Firewood ($25 for a drum)

Do you have good mobile reception at Billy'o Bush Retreat?

Billy'o has full 4G mobile reception on all areas of our property.

What is your payment policy?

All bookings made on the website will be followed by an invoice for the full accommodation cost. Airbnb payment policies apply to all bookings for our Cabin and Bag 'n Swag options on Airbnb.  Due to high demand, your booking will be cancelled if payment is not made within one (1) week of booking Please note we accept both CASH and EFTPOS payments via VISA and Mastercard at Billy'o for items purchased over the bar or in the Billy'o Shop.

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry pets are not permitted.

When can I swim in the pool?

Our property does feature a small pool built to resemble a sheep dip. We do not maintain strict rules about when the pool can be used but ask that you please consider other guests and share your time in the pool with others as limited space is available. Please be mindful of noise at night to not disturb other guests and note that children are to be supervised at all times. 

Can I buy drinks over the bar during my stay?

Our venue is fully licenced and a range of local and imported beers, selected wines and a wide variety of spirits and soft drinks are available for purchase over the bar during your stay.  Please note however, that as a licenced venue we are governed by the principles of the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) policy and therefore have the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave the property should it be necessary.

Can I smoke at Billy'o Bush Retreat?

Due to the mostly hot and dry climate and for the comfort of all guests, smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area found in the common area. 

Where can I read the terms and conditions of staying at Billy'o Bush Retreat?

To ensure you get the most out of your stay and enjoy the experience and everything our property has to offer we ask that you please read these TERMS AND CONDITIONS carefully.  When you make a booking, you accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. Guests accept and are held fully responsible for their visitors or children which may result in injury or harm when staying or visiting the property and it's surrounds.

What about water consumption while at Billy'o?

Water is a premium out here and only supplied by the rain, so we ask you consider this when showering please. For this reason also we ask that you don't use our property to fill up.

Do you have WIFI available?

If you really can't switch off! Wifi is available. Please ask Mark on your arrival for the login details.
